It was another enjoyable breakfast with Suncoast friends including some new ones. Mark your calendars for the 3rd Saturday of each month. Many of our regulars are still at Porsche Parade in the Poconos and/or heading out from there for other adventures.

Do you also do events in the Miami area?

Welcome to the Suncoast PCA Region Website

Welcome to Florida’s Suncoast Region Porsche Club, located in Zone 12 of the Porsche Club of America.

Porsche Profile Strikes Gold at the 2020 PCA National Awards Ceremony

Lightning strikes again! The November/December 2019 issue of Suncoast Porsche Profile was selected “Best Newsletter” in Class V at the 2020 PCA National Awards presentation held on August 19, 2020. Usually done at Parade, this year, due to the pandemic, the awards ceremony was done virtually on YouTube. You can see the entire event at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXMl2jFTb-Q

The selected issue was great because of the writings of our columnists: John Vita, Fiona Brooks, Pedro Bonilla, Tom Briest, George Wienhold and Jim Hoey; our erstwhile contributors: Hans-Joachim Krenz, Bill and Mary Caldwell, Bill Sumansky, Rich Tillotson, Denise Remus, Dan Engel, Kevin Pizzarello and our European Correspondent—Jeremy Swiger. Then there were the unseen workers: Assistant Editor—Ralph Porzio, Graphic Artist—Dave McGowan, and Copy Editor—Penny Sippel. They all deserve this award, and we thank them for their help in achieving this honor for our region once again.

Thank you all who have written, or are now writing for Profile.

COVID-19 Update

Dear Suncoast PCA members and friends,

We are experiencing an unprecedented public health emergency with restricted travel and cancellations of major events to eliminate gatherings of large crowds.  We are all concerned about Covid 19 and it’s potential impact on our families and friends.

We want you to know we are closely monitoring the CDC and health department recommendations. We are evaluating each of our member events to determine whether we should cancel or postpone. We will post updates on our website, Facebook page, and through focused email blasts.

We want to make sure we support the health and safety of our members.  Remember:

  • Stay home when you are sick
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue into the trash and wash your hands
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me or another board member. Our contact information is published on www.SuncoastPCA.org and in the Profile magazine.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor this evolving situation.
