It is the on-going vision of our co-chairs to continue to enhance your experience whether you are a driver\, volunteer or PCA member. Since the beginning 26 years ago our Committee has embraced this vision and welcomes each of you to our Club Race weekend. \n48 Hours has grown over the past 20 years to become one of the largest gatherings of Porsches in North America and is the kick-off for the 2020 Porsche Club Racing season. Your job\, as a volunteer\, is to work at one of the many tasks that come up during the race day\, make friends\, spend time marveling at the cars and above all to have a great time. DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow Suncoast PCA members for our annual Member Celebration or Gala on Sunday\, January 19\, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club (SPYC). \nThe first hour (6 to 7 pm) will be a hosted bar with cocktails\, wine\, beer and soda and hors d’oeuvres. The buffet stations will then open for dinner and include several selections of salads and entrees\, a carving station and assorted desserts. Cash bar after 7 pm. We’ll have music and a dance floor where you can show off your moves! We’ll also offer the Casino tables with Black Jack\, Roulette\, Craps\, Texas Hold ‘Em\, etc. You’ll start off with $500 worth of chips. Dress code from business casual to evening attire – whatever you prefer! The evening will also include a short business meeting\, formal change of leadership\, and annual awards. DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow Suncoast PCA members for our first annual Parade of Presents\, delivering gifts to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital\, St. Petersburg\, FL on Sunday\, December 15\, 2019.  There is no cost to participate other than the gift for the children\, but registration is required as we need to know the number of cars and individuals participating.  The registration link is Suncoast Florida Region PCA Special Event Parade of Presents. \nThe schedule is:\n\n* 2:00 pm – arrive at Bert Smith Porsche\, St. Petersburg. Sign PCA waivers for participation in the parade. Police escorts will arrive around 2:30 pm. \n* 3:00 pm – depart Bert Smith in Porsche Parade with St. Pete Police escort\, proceed to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Anticipate arrival no later than 4:00 pm.  \n* At All Children’s Hospital – in an orderly fashion\, drive through the circle in front of the main entrance and hand your gift or monetary donation to one of the PCA member or hospital staff accepting gifts.  \n* After delivering your present\, head to Ferg’s Restaurant for the dinner social (dinner on your own).  \n \nA final schedule will be sent just before the event\, but in the meantime\, if you have questions please do not hesitate to contact Ed Rossiter\, Chairman of the event\, at berossiter@gmail.com or Denise Remus at VP@SuncoastPCA.org.\n\n \nAll gifts should be unwrapped.\n \nToys and gifts for children from newborn to age 18 are needed.  They can accept new\, unused items in original packaging that have been purchased in the last three months; new books; new\, unused handmade items (caps\, pillows\, pillow cases\, quilts\, etc.). All gifts should be unwrapped.  The ClubRegistration.net website contains the full list of acceptable items.

DESCRIPTION:*** This event has been rescheduled from October 19 to November 16 due to bad weather ***  \nPorsches and Museums – Edison and Ford Winter Estates and Museum Tour then lunch at Pinchers on Saturday November 16\, 2019 (Ft. Meyers\, FL)  \nPlease join us for a tour of the “Edison and Ford Winter Estates” followed by a lunch at “Pinchers at the Marina at Edison Ford”. \nDid you know that Thomas Edison and Henry Ford spent many winters in Fort Myers? Did you know that Edison\, Ford and Harvey Firestone created the Edison Botanical Research Corporation to try to find a domestic source of natural rubber? Did you know the estate site is a Florida Historic Landmark and the lab is a National Historical Chemical Landmark? \nA site historian will give us a 60 minute guided tour of the homes and gardens of the Edison and Ford families. Following the tour you are free to browse on your own through the Edison Ford Museum\, the Edison Botanic Research Laboratory\, the Museum Store and the Garden Shoppe. Lunch will be at Pinchers\, which is accessible via a garden path directly from the grounds of the estates. Pinchers is right on the water and their seafood comes highly recommended for you to purchase! Your tour entry ticket is good for the full day so those wishing to do some more browsing of the estates may do so after lunch. There will be a designated group parking area where we are free to leave our cars parked until we depart for the day. \nThe guided tour will start promptly at 10 a.m. Please plan to arrive at the parking area between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. so that we can get everyone checked in. Most of the tour is outside – please dress accordingly as it may be a warm day. Note that smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the estates site. Only Service Animals are allowed – all other pets and animals are not permitted. DESCRIPTION:The Sunrise to Sunset Rally has returned sponsored by the Space Coast and Suncoast Regions! The SUNCHASER TROPHY is once again up for grabs between our local PCA Regions (Space Coast is the reigning champion!) on November 8-10th 2019. Plan to attend the Friday evening reception at 7PM hosted by Shay Rowe and Porsche Melbourne at their beautiful showroom. We have a block of rooms reserved for $149/night at the Crowne Plaza on Melbourne Beach if you would like to spend the night Friday. It will start at Kostas Family Restaurant in Palmetto at 09:50 AM (take I-75 Exit #224 and head East towards Palmetto\, stay on the main road into town\, turn Right at the traffic light on 10th Ave W; Kostas will be one long block up on your left at 17th Street). \nThere will be a rally school from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. The Rally starts at 11:00 AM. The rally should take about 2-1/2 hours to complete.
